Thanks, in the mean time I found out as well that there is only one sensor for temps, the one in the oil pan which I replaced (3F907660E). The VCDS belonged to a mechanic and was recent (19.6.2.0), but I have also been told that sometimes it reports false/inaccurate errors which have to be checked by other means/testers.

I own a VW Golf TDI 1.6 Mk7 (2015) Odometer: 82,000KM. I would like to know at what Odometer reading should I change the timing belt/chain.I had a minor service done 2 weeks ago (not at the VW dealer) and they obviously didn't reset the reminders as the 'oil change now!' warning has started and it's driving me up the wall! Turn ignition off, hold 0.0, turn ignition on, get the reset option, press 0.0 again but nothing, tried it with hazards on as was one suggestion but again
The mk7 has the water pump seperate. If the regular TSI is like the GTI, then the water pump is located at the gearbox end of the engine on the front of the engine, not at the timing end. It's driven by it's own belt, not by the timing belt or main serpentine belt. krhhdoC.
